Last Friday we were honoured by the presence of Tatiana Bilyk and Ana Morales, who are intercultural mediators at the Migrant Assistance Office from the Immigration Council of Alicante. They gave us interesting and useful information about Social Ties and Spanish Nationality.
Tatiana was who explained Social Ties, which is one of the temporary residence permissions which form part of the exceptional circumstances, but whose application is more and more common among migrants. Ana took part by shedding light on the steps to follow to obtain Spanish Nationality.
From the Empathy Project, we would like to thank them both for their participation and their time.
Tomorrow part of the Empathy team will attend the Festival of Artivism that will take place in the auditorium of the University of Alicante (Carretera de San Vicente del Raspeig). The event aims to raise awareness about the barriers migrants must overcome to reach the European Union and all the difficulties they find once they have arrived at their destination. It will be very dynamic since the audience will participate, and experience first-hand the odyssey many migrants go through to reach a better life.
