If you have submitted an application for residency to the Immigration Office in Spain (Extranjería), you may receive an SMS and/or an email from them similar to this one:
This means that Extranjería has uploaded a document into your electronic folder regarding your application. This document may be a request for additional documentation or a decision on your residency application.
Please find below the steps you need to take in order to access this communication.
1* Click on the following link: https://sede.administracionespublicas.gob.es/https://sede.administracionespublicas.gob.es/
Then click on “MIS EXPEDIENTES” on the horizontal menu bar
2* On the following screen, click on ‘Acceso con cl@ve‘
3* Now, you need to select your identification method. In most cases, this will be the Electronic or Digital Certificate, included in the first option (‘DNIe / Certificado electrónico’).
4* Select the appropriate Digital Certificate if you have more than one and click on ‘OK‘
5* Then, you will get access to your electronic folder where you will see the notification reference from Extranjería, with the reference number of your application on it; this is the same number you have received by email or by SMS. Click on the option that appears in colour; this could be ‘Communicaciones’, ‘Requerimientos’ or ‘Resolución‘.
6* A small box will open below where you need to click in order for you to access the document
7* Now click on the results to download them onto your computer. These results could be “Descarga Fichero DOC_…” or “RES_….“, etc.
