About us
The Intercultural Association BABELIA was founded in 2004 as a non-profit organisation. Our main focus is to promote and strengthen the following three main areas:
- Intercultural Coexistence
- Social Cohesion
- Equal Opportunities
Our team
Prepared and involved people
Our multidisciplinary team is made up of intercultural mediators from different origins, such as Eastern Europe, North Africa, Latin America, Spain and the UK. Said professionals have higher education studies in different areas of knowledge, such as education, law, economics, anthropology, history, sociology, Arabic studies and philology. In fact, part of Babelia’s team coordinate their role at the Association with university teaching and scientific research work.
Additionally, Babelia’s team has extensive experience educating professional groups and migrant population, as well as managing and implementing many local and international projects concerning the fields of migration, community and social education.
Our Association also has the valuable support of volunteers committed to multiculturalism and social justice, as well as interns studying university and advanced vocational training programs in the field of social and human sciences.
